Programs and Services
|A fixed route bus service is a public transportation system provided by the local government. Buses follow set routes and schedules, stopping at specific places. People can depend on these buses to arrive regularly, making it easy to travel to different locations in the community. It's affordable, reliable, and available to everyone.|
|Routes||Connect Douglas operates four bus routes: Route 10 Route 20 Route 30 Route 40|
|Monday — Saturday, 7:00am – 8:00pm *Buses currently run on the Saturday schedule only.*|
|Fares||The standard one-way fare is $2.50. A reduced one-way fare of $1.00 is offered to seniors (60+), students, and persons with disabilities. Individuals must apply for a reduced fare card to receive this discount.|
|Riders can call ahead to request "flex trip". A bus will "flex" off its fixed route to pick up an individual. After the individual is picked up, the bus returns to its regular fixed route. Flex Trips can be scheduled up to 24 hours in advance, but no later than 2 hours prior to the start of a route. Flex trips are only honored from 11AM-2PM. Requested Flex destinations must be less than a mile from a point on the fixed route. Call (770) 949-7665 and select Option 1 to schedule a Flex trip.|
Paratransit bus service is for people who have difficulties using Fixed Route buses due to disabilities or limited mobility.
These buses offer curb-to-curb trips, and drivers provide extra assistance in order to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Certified riders can call our call center to schedule a trip to and from their desired location.
|1 Mile Radius|
Paratransit service operates within a one-mile distance from any point along the Connect Douglas fixed routes. This means that riders' pickup and destination locations must be within 1 mile from one of the four routes.
Paratransit service operates during the same hours as the Fixed Route bus service: Monday — Saturday, 7:00am – 8:00pm.
The Call Center accepts reservations Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. Nest-day trip requests must be placed before 2PM. Next -day trip requests for Monday trips can be taken by voicemail on Sundays.

Connect Douglas' Transportation Voucher Program helps seniors and disabled residents pay for private transportation. Instead of spending money, eligible participants get vouchers to use with approved private transportation companies (similar to taxi services). To schedule their trips, riders call these transportation providers directly. The vouchers can be used to pay for any kind of trip within Metro-Atlanta—whether it's for medical reasons, personal needs, and more. For more information, click here to visit our webpage.
