(Douglasville, GA)- After a distinguished career spanning 35 years in firefighting and emergency response management, Dr. Miles Allen has been officially sworn in as the Douglas County Fire Chief. The ceremony took place on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, at the Douglasville Conference Center.
Having served as Interim Fire Chief since February 2023, Chief Allen's leadership and dedication were recognized as exemplary during his tenure. His extensive experience and commitment to public safety have been instrumental in restructuring fire services to effectively meet the evolving needs of Douglas County's growing population.
Throughout his tenure as Interim Fire Chief, Chief Allen also implemented innovative strategies to enhance firefighting and emergency response capabilities.
