(Douglasville, GA)- Keep Douglas County Beautiful has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Governor’s Circle Award, which was accepted by External Affairs Specialist Jonathan Lewis on behalf of the County this week at the Georgia State Capitol!
The Governor’s Circle Award, presented to certified affiliates of ‘Keep America Beautiful,’ celebrates individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment in addressing community needs related to litter prevention, recycling, waste reduction, and beautification efforts.
“Receiving this recognition highlights the vital role Keep Douglas County Beautiful plays in promoting a clean, vibrant, and sustainable community,” said Assistant County Administrator and Chief of Staff Tiffany Stewart-Stanley. She added, “We are grateful for Mr. Lewis’s dedication to the program and his ongoing efforts to encourage and empower individuals to proactively contribute to the enhancement and beautification of Douglas County.”
Douglas County has been an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful since 2018. The national non-profit organization educates and inspires citizens to become volunteers and take initiative in improving communities. The organization focuses on environmentally healthy, socially connected, and economically sound communities. Through education and community engagement, Keep Douglas County Beautiful will continue to make a positive impact on the community and quality of life for residents.
