March as "National Pet Vaccination Month"
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is proud to partner with national nonprofit Petco Love to give pets their best shot for a healthy life by hosting a free pet vaccine event on March 26, 2022.
Petco Love established March as "National Pet Vaccination Month" to encourage pet parents to keep their pets up to date on vaccinations and provide free pet vaccines to the Douglas County Animal Shelter for family pets in need. As the puppy and kitten season approaches, a pet's exposure to parvovirus, distemper, and panleukopenia increases but is preventable with a simple vaccine.
