COVID-19 Update
Walking trails and tracks, disc golf courses, playgrounds, restrooms, and pavilions are open for public use. Parks are open 8:00 a.m. until dark daily.
- We strongly encourage everyone to adhere to Social Distancing and all other guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to prevent the spread of COVID19.

Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department welcomes you to explore nearly 2,000 acres of park land and other recreation facilities in Douglas County. You will have no difficulty finding an activity that suits your interest. The Department offers a variety of activities in our parks, seasonal and special events at local school facilities, and other activities in cooperation with local clubs and civic organizations.
Responsibilities
The Department sponsors:
- Activities for seniors, adults and youth
- Summer day camps
- Various athletic leagues and tournaments
We work with area youth associations and facilitate them through yearly park use agreements in order to provide supervised activities for Douglas County youth.

Youth Sports Associations
Youth Sports contains many different programs for the young athletes around Douglas County. We offer baseball, softball, football and cheerleading at different parks around Douglas County.
