Boundary Waters Aquatic Center

The beautiful Boundary Waters Aquatic Center (BWAC) features an 8-lane, 25-meter heated competition pool, and a 4-lane, heated therapeutic/teaching pool. The Aquatic Center was designed and constructed with special-purpose local-option sales tax funds. Thanks to the citizens of Douglas County for this wonderful facility!

The Douglasville Stingrays began as a small, independent, summer-league only swim club in 1997, practicing in an outdoor pool at Hunter Park. Organized and supported by parents and swimming enthusiasts, the team moved to a new indoor facility in 2004, the Boundary Waters Aquatic Center. The club was renamed the Douglas County Stingrays (DCS) and continued its evolution.

Today, DCS is a competitive, year-round, USA Swimming team that is administered and directed by member-volunteers. Over one hundred members strong and growing, Douglas County Stingrays compete at local, state, regional and national levels.
