Planning and Zoning Board meetings are held in Citizens Hall of the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, GA 30134. Please call 770-920-7260  to request information about an upcoming meeting. 

Next Meeting

Zoning applications and Variance applications are heard on separate meeting dates by the Planning and Zoning Board.  The links below will take you to a schedule of upcoming meetings.

The Planning and Zoning Board will meet for Work Session at 5:00 p.m. in advance of their regular meeting.

The Planning and Zoning Board and Board of Commissioners will meet in Joint Session at a special called meeting on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to review text amendments to the Unified Development Code and Comprehensive Plan.  The meeting will be held in Citizens Hall of the Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville GA 30135.

Training

The Planning and Zoning Board meeting periodically for training on topics of interest and relevance to their duties.  A quorum of Planning and Zoning Board Members and Board of Commissioners may be present at these meetings, but no action is taken.  These are for education only.  All meetings are open to the public.
