Tiffany Stewart-Stanley, Esq.
Tiffany Stewart‑Stanley, Esq. is an accomplished and innovative public sector leader with more than two decades of experience spanning public administration, law, intergovernmental relations, and strategic planning. She currently serves as the Chief of Staff and Assistant County Administrator for Douglas County, Georgia, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing organizational excellence, strengthening government operations, and driving strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents.
A proud graduate of Alcorn State University, Tiffany earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude before completing her Juris Doctorate at the University of Mississippi School of Law. Committed to continuous professional growth, she completed the Chief of Staff Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School and is a Certified Chief of Staff. She is also an International City/County Management Association Credentialed Manager (ICMA‑CM) Candidate. Tiffany further expanded her expertise by earning certifications as a Certified Public Manager and a Certified Local Government Finance Officer through the University of Georgia, and by completing program study in Project Management at the University of Miami.
Tiffany’s leadership extends well beyond her local government role. She has served in several national leadership capacities, including as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Counties (NACo) and as President of the National Association of County Intergovernmental Relations Officials (NACIRO). She currently contributes her insight and advocacy as a member of NACo’s Arts and Culture Innovation Council.
Her professional excellence has been recognized through numerous honors. Tiffany has been named an Outstanding Georgia Citizen by the Georgia Secretary of State, selected as one of Georgia Trend Magazine’s 40 Under 40 rising stars, and Douglas County Young Professional of the Year by the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.
A dedicated lifelong learner and leadership enthusiast, Tiffany is also a graduate of several prestigious leadership programs, including the National Association of Counties High Performance Leadership Academy, the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute, and Leadership Georgia.

Chief of Staff Responsibilities Include:
- Assists with day-to-day management of county operations.
- Oversees the external operations including direct oversight over the Communications, Constituent Services, Elections, Juvenile Programs, Library Services, Parks & Recreations, Senior Services, and UGA Extension Services Departments.
- Serves as the liaison for the county government with the public, elected officials, community organizations, regional partners, and other governmental organizations.
- Oversees strategic planning, policy development, and organizational performance management.
- Provides direction over the county’s intergovernmental affairs.
