The Program:
The Douglas County Youth Commission is a student leadership and enrichment program for high schoolers in Douglas County. The program runs parallel to the school year and meets twice a month. Youth Commissioners learn through a county-developed interactive curriculum with Douglas County government and community leaders on government operations, law, the process of community planning, and economic development, community art and creativity, and much more.
