Biography

  • Lived in District 4 of Douglas County for over 50 years
  • Married to Bob Guider (deceased); 4 children, 5 grand-children
  • Retired as Douglas County Tax Commissioner in 2008 after 28 years

Career

  • Has served as the elected District 4 Commissioner of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners since 2011

Involvements

  • Founded and led Celebrate Recovery (program for hurts, habits, and hang-ups) for over 16 years at Ephesus Baptist Church (Closed December 2021).
  • Member at Ephesus Baptist Church for almost 40 years.
  • Previously served on the S.H.A.R.E. House Board of Directors.
  • Served 14 years on Board of Community Character Coalition of Douglas County (now dissolved).
  • Served as President, Vice President, and Second Vice President of the Georgia Association of Tas Officials (GATO).
  • Served as President and Vice President of the Tax Commissioners Technology Association (TCtech).
  • Served as Chair of Modernization Committee several years for GATO.
  • Served on Steering Committee with State and county officials to implement the state-wide tag system.
  • Served on Steering Committee with State and county officials to implement on-line emission testing.
  • Established and served over 10 years on the Technology Committee for Douglas County government.
  • Substitute teaches Life Groups at Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston, Georgia.
