HOUSING AUTHORITY

  • Meeting Schedule: 3rd Tuesday each month, at the Fowler Community Building 
  • Appointment:  Members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners; one must be Resident Commissioner, One Year Term

Deals with the Federal policies, procedures and financial matters governing the Authority.  

The Douglas County Housing Authority provides housing with rents affordable to low income households.   All of the housing units are located within the City of Douglasville.  There are family units, units for the elderly and handicapped.

 Members must be Douglas County residents and may not be an officer or employee of the County. Members hold office until they are reappointed or their successor appointed. Members do not receive compensation but may be reimbursed for necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.

 Meet 3rd Tuesday each month, 4:00 pm at the Fowler Community Building on Hospital Drive
